Deepak invests across the enterprise technology stack with a particular focus on data and AI. He supports founders with a balance of technical know-how, AI talent acquisition, and customer insights – especially in the banking and insurance sectors.

Deepak has over a decade of venture capital and technology experience, currently investing in startups that leverage data and artificial intelligence to drive digital transformation at large enterprises. He previously worked at Avanta Ventures, MS&AD Ventures, and Scout Ventures, focusing on fintech, insurtech, and enterprise software. He held finance leadership development and data scientist roles at organizations like Amazon Web Services, Capgemini Invent, Capco, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Deepak previously founded an NLP startup in the HR industry and currently runs Hackers and Backers, a San Francisco-based community of 200+ investors, founders, and operators. He holds a BA in Mathematics with minors in Statistics and Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Deepak is also a former college wrestler.
