Prior to joining Hitachi Ventures, Edoardo studied Finance at Bocconi University and Sustainability at LUISS University, where he became deeply involved in entrepreneurial student initiatives. He co-founded a sustainability-focused online journal led by university graduates from across Europe, before launching his own agri-tech startup aimed at bringing machine learning and computer vision tools into next-generation “Greenhouse 4.0” farming. After securing €100k in funding and spending countless hours interviewing customers and installing equipment on farms, the venture ultimately didn’t take off – an experience that provided invaluable lessons and paved the way for his role at Hitachi Ventures.
