At Hitachi Ventures, he focuses on climate, industrial. and infrastructure software that enable more resilient, efficient, and sustainable systems. Reed brings Both technical and operational perspective to his investing. Prior to joining Hitachi Ventures, he worked as an investor at Boston based Venture Guides and was the first product/engineering hire at two ecommerce startups. Reed has a M.Sc in computer science from the University of Chicago, a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Dartmouth College, and a M.Ed in Secondary Math from Boston University which he earned while teaching high school math and computer science in Boston.
